If you’re planning to update your desktop or laptop to Windows 10, you should know that Microsoft will release a new operating system in July.
Microsoft Windows 10 will have lots of new features, and one of the greatest ones is native support for 4K displays.

Create a new user account
- Press Windows Key + I to open Settings.
- Choose Accounts.
- Select Family & other people from the left pane. Now click on Add someone else to this PC.
- Select I don’t have this person’s sign-in information.
- Enter a name for the new account and click on Next.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to finish setting up the new account.
Run the Windows Update troubleshooter
- First, press the Windows key + I to open a Settings app and select Update & Security.
- Click Troubleshoot in the left pane.
- Select Windows Update and click the Run the troubleshooter button.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.
Update Windows 10
- Go to Settings and click on Update & Security.
- Click on Check for updates button, and if any are available, install them.
Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter
- Press the Windows key + S keyboard shortcut, enter update in the text field, and click on the relevant search result.
- Click Troubleshoot, and click Windows Update on the left of the next page.
- Click the Run the troubleshooter button.
- Select the Apply repairs automatically option.
- Press the Next button.
- Select the Apply repairs automatically option.
- Restart your PC after the troubleshooter has completed.
Change the date/time settings
- Close the Settings app and open Time & language.
- Change the date/time format to 24 hour.
- Click Ok to save the changes.
Run the DISM command

Open Command prompt as administrator.
When Command prompt starts, paste the following command and press Enter:
Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth - Now, the Command prompt window will display if there are some errors. If so, fix them, then restart your computer and run the command again.
Run the System File Checker
- To run Microsoft Windows System File Checker, open the Search menu, type cmd (or cmd.exe ), open Command prompt (Admin) from the menu, and paste the following line, and hit Enter: sfc/scannow
- Wait for the scanning process to be completed.
Try a Clean Boot
- Press Windows + R to open Run, type msconfig in the text field, and click OK.
- Click Services tab, expand Hide all Microsoft services, click Hide all Microsoft services, and then click Disable all.
- Click Startup tab, expand Hide all Microsoft services, click Hide all Microsoft services, and then click Disable all.
- Click OK and reboot your PC.
Disable Antivirus Programs
- Disable Antivirus Programs running in the background, and restart your device.
- Restore Default Settings
Navigate to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery. - Now, select Reset This PC.
Reinstall Windows 10
- Press Windows Key + I to open Settings, then click on Update & Security.
- Click the Check for Updates button.
- After the update process ends, reboot your PC.
