Start Chrome in Safe Mode
- To do that, press the Esc button on your keyboard -> select Restart Google Chrome
- Once Chrome restarts, open Chrome.
- Click on the menu icon -> select Settings.
- Navigate to the Advanced section -> click on Permissions.
- From there, click on Show advanced settings.
- Select the Develop menu -> Restart.

Change User Account Control settings
- Go to Apple Menu at the top of your screen, then click System Preferences.
- From the System Preferences window, click on Users & Groups.

- Click the lock icon to unlock to make changes.
- Select the user account in the Users & Groups window.
- Uncheck the Turn on User Account Control (UAC) when logged on to this computer option.

- Disable System Integrity Protection (SIP)
Go to Apple Menu at the top of your screen, then click System Preferences. - From the System Preferences window, click on Security & Privacy.
- In the Security & Privacy window, click the lock icon to make changes.
- Enter the admin password.
- Click the lock icon to unlock to make changes.
- Click Open Security & Privacy Preferences.
- Click System Integrity Protection.
- Select the Disable radio button.
- Click Apply, and then click OK.
- Restart your Mac
Run the Google Update Checker
- Open your Google Chrome and click the menu button (three horizontal lines) at the top right corner.
- Click the Help option.
- Click the About Google Chrome option.
- Click the Update Information option.
- Click the Check Now button.
Check if the Chrome is up to date
- Go to System Preferences > click on the Software Update option.
- If there is an update available, install it.
- If the update is not available, go to the Chrome download page and download and install the latest version of the browser.
