Civil software issues may consist of a variety of problems, such as software compatibility issues, import/export issues, and civil program crashes. Because these issues are common, today we’re going to show you how to resolve them.
- Software installation issues can be caused by missing or corrupt files, issues with your registry, or problems with the security settings.
- Many users reported that they get the software installation failed error after installing new hardware or software.
- The civil software installation failed error can be resolved by uninstalling the offending software or hardware.
Run the SFC and DISM scans
- Right-click Start and open Command prompt (Admin).
- Run the sfc/scannow command.
- In case the system files restore option is available, press the Enter key.
- Wait for the process to complete.
- Restart the computer.
Repair system files
- Type cmd in the search bar.
- Click on Command prompt from the list of results.
- Type sfc/scannow
- Wait until the process is complete.
- Restart your computer.
- Install civil software
Roll back your Windows update
- Open Settings and select Update & Security.
- Click on the Recovery tab.
- Click on Get Started under the Go back to the previous version of Windows 10 option.
- Click on Go back to Windows 7 or Go back to Windows 8.1.
Restore your computer
- Go to Start > search for Command prompt > right-click Command prompt > select Run as administrator
- In the Command prompt window, type the following command and press Enter: DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
- Wait for the process to complete.
Roll back Windows update
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update
- Click on View update history
- Select Roll back to a previous build
- Follow the on-screen instructions
- Restart your PC
Perform a Clean Boot
- Press Windows + R to open Run, and type msconfig in the text field.
- Press the OK button.
- Select the Selective startup option.
- Remove the checkmarks from the Load system services and Load startup items options, and click the Apply and OK buttons.
- Restart your Windows system.
Perform a System Restore
- Go to Start > type system restore > select System Restore
- Select the most recent restore point > click Next > follow the prompts to complete the Restore
