Fixing and Solving Disk Image Software Installation Errors

Many users reported that they are experiencing the following issues with the disk image software on their Windows 10 PCs:
1. Disk image software won’t install – This is a common issue for many and it’s usually caused by corrupted system files. 2. Disk image software installation failed – Sometimes, the program can’t write files to the file system. To fix this, try to start the installation program from the command prompt. 3. Disk image software failed to install – This issue appears when you don’t have the required permissions. 4. Disk image software failed to install Windows 10 – This error can appear when you don’t have the necessary permissions.

Perform a Clean Install

  1. Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app, and click on Update & Security.

  2. Go to the Recovery tab, and click on Get Started under Clean Install.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen and check if that fixes any issues.
  4. Reset Windows
    Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app, and click on Update & Security.
  5. Go to Recovery, and click on Get Started under Reset this PC.
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen and check if that fixes any issues.

Run the Disk Cleanup tool

  1. Open Run by pressing the Windows key + R hotkey.
    Enter Cleanmgr in the Open box, and click the OK button.
    Select the Disk Cleanup option on the Tools tab.
    Select the Hard Disk drive that you want to clean, and click the OK button.
  2. Select the Clean up system files, and then click the OK button.

Perform an SFC scan

  1. Type cmd in the search bar and open it as an administrator.
  2. Type the following command and press Enter: sfc /scannow

  3. Wait until the scanning process is completed (it can take a while).
  4. If the SFC scan finds an issue, it will automatically fix it.

Check for system files

  1. Type cmd in the Search bar, and click on the relevant search result.
  2. Right-click on Command prompt, and select Run as administrator.

  3. In the Command prompt window, type the following command and press Enter: sfc /scannow
  4. Wait for the scan to complete, and reboot your PC.

Update your drivers

  1. Open the Device Manager as explained above
  2. Find the device you want to update, right-click on it, and choose Update Driver Software.

  3. The update process should start, and once it’s finished, reboot your computer.
