In Excel, the Show/Hide Tabs command is used to show or hide all sheets in a spreadsheet at once.
However, some users have reported getting a Show tabs error, and today we’re going to show you how to fix this error.
- Excel show tabs error can be caused by various issues, such as damaged Excel file or the Excel file.
- To quickly fix this issue, start Excel and check if the issue persists.
- Another solution is to download and install the latest version of Excel.
Use a VBA solution
- Press the F5 key to refresh the Excel tab.
- Click the File tab.
- Select the Options command.
- Then, select the Advanced panel.
- Select the Display Calculation Mode option.
- Select Iterative.
- Press the OK button.
Make a quick repair in Excel
- Open Excel, then click on File.
- Select Options, then go to the Trust Center.
- Click on Trust Center Settings, and then on Trust Center Settings.
- Scroll down, find the General section, and then click on the Change Settings.
- In the Trust Center Settings window, click on Trust Center Maintenance.
- Click on Rebuild trust follow these steps:
- Select Yes, Do This For My Computer.
- Select Reenable 40-bit and 56-bit encryption.
- Select No, Don’t Reenable 40-bit and 56-bit encryption.
- Click on Change Settings, then click on OK.
Remove the problematic add-in
- If you’re using Excel 2007 or 2010, go to File > Options > Add-ins. If you’re using Excel 2013, go to File > Options > Add-ins and check for the macros enabled box.
- Select the check boxes in front of the add-ins you don’t want, and then click OK.
Disable Show Tabs feature
- Right-click the Excel icon on the taskbar.
- Choose Excel Options.
- Then, select Advanced from the left pane.
- Uncheck the Show Tabs option.
Clean install Excel
- Press Windows Key + X and choose Programs and Features.
- Locate Excel on the list, right-click it, and choose Uninstall.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the removal.
- Download the latest version of Microsoft office.
- Press Windows Key + X and choose Programs and Features.
- Locate Microsoft office on the list, right-click it, and choose Change.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
