Modify your registry

1. Navigate to Start > type regedit in the search box > click Registry Editor
2. Navigate to the following key:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\Office\Word\Compatibility
3. Double click CompatVersion
   
4. Change its value to 14.0
5. Restart your PC

Run the AutoRecover command

1. Press the Windows key + R hotkey to launch the Run dialog box.
2. Type the rstrui command in the Open field.
3. Press the Enter key.
   
4. Restart Windows.
